Does anyone have a left rear hub carrier they'd sell? Mine has a stuck bolt and I need to know if there's parts available so I can decide how much force to use trying to remove it.

There is one on eBay?

I know a guy who has one for sale if you're interested.

Just as the one on eBay, it includes the link as he didn't want to damage anything attempting to remove the link, thus it's still bolted together there.

Let me know if you're interested.

Not sure - I'd have to ask him, but I think he'd be willing to do $190 plus shipping.

He also has the right rear available, again with the upper link still attached, for $275 plus shipping (this one is NLA in NOS from DMCH)

Incidentally, the NOS is $13.76 more expensive WITHOUT shipping; not a big difference, really.

The upper links are still attached to both via the original OEM bolts, which are unbroken.

I'll get some pics of the right rear later today and post them (as that's the one that I currently have in my possession). The left rear is in the exact same condition as the right, but it currently resides at my friend's place.

Those are great prices.

Again, I'm not 100% certain as to the prices of either and will have to confirm with the owner, but those numbers will definitely be in the ballpark, if not fully correct, as he tends to go with the prices that I believe represent a fair market value.

In this community, that's something I greatly respect.

NightFlyer

OK - I was WRONG and stand corrected on a few things....

1) The LOWER LINK was still attached, not the upper link as previously reported.
2) The nut/bolt holding the lower link had been sheered off to facilitate removal.

Thus, I'm guessing that the owner did the same thing to the left (driver's) side hub carrier as well.

Anyway, I monkeyed around with the right (passenger) carrier tonight and removed the lower link from it to better facilitate shipping. In this case, I'd take them to a machine shop and have them remove the sections of bolt still remaining in them if you didn't feel like messing with it yourself. Note that the remnants of a caliper bolt that had been drilled out is still present in one of the caliper mounting ears, though removal should be fairly easy. The left (driver's side) has clean/clear caliper mounting ear holes (as I was able to remove both of them without issue).

So, with that said, as promised, here are the pics of the right (passenger side which is NLA in NOS from DMCH) hub carrier. The left (driver's) hub carrier is in substantially similar shape, except that it still has the lower link attached and the caliper mounting ear holes are clean/clear.

If you want to make a trip ~45 minutes north of Dalonega on GA Hwy 60 tomorrow (or whenever) we can get it out and it would only cost you fuel. ..and maybe a drill bit ;)
(Then you can drive it to the SEDOC meet Saturday ;-)

Thanks for the offer! Sadly being a college student, work comes first and car stuff comes second. I don't get many opportunities to work on my car. My dad has been helping my with my restoration when I'm unable to come home. Recently I've only been able to do the research and parts buying. :)

To remove a broken bolt from a casting with a press, I would cut the head off the bolt so the casting could be supported. Probably best to drill a hole into a thick steel plate for the support. It would seem a 20 ton press should never fail pushing out a bolt that way.

My guy has a left (driver's) rear available and ready to go - it's the companion of the right rear that I previously posted pics of. It either still has the lower link attached, or it was sawzall'd off leaving bits of bolt remaining in the holes, so you will have to deal with that. He'll do $300/shipped if you want it. Includes original outboard drive shaft (spindle) and split spacers. Total DMCH price on the three pieces is $648. Also still has the original bearing, not that it's worth anything.

Let me know :)

I don't think I ever said a price other than half of DMCH. $186 plus actual shipping cost for everything you see (minus brake rotor).

Actually, here's the DMCH value of the entire assembly that you're selling:

Hub Assembly - $149.99 (https://store.delorean.com/p-8716-hub-assy.aspx)
Sleeve, Compression -$22.71 (https://store.delorean.com/p-8718-sleeve-compression.aspx)
Nut Stub Axle - $10.68 (https://store.delorean.com/p-7274-nut-stub-axle.aspx)
RR Outboard Drive Shaft (Spindle) - $187.49 (https://store.delorean.com/p-8712-rr-outboard-dshaft.aspx)
Rear Hub Carrier LH - $373.75 (https://store.delorean.com/p-7380-rear-hub-carrier-lh.aspx)
Split Spacer x 2 - $86.00 (https://store.delorean.com/p-7383-split-spacer.aspx)
Park Brake Bracket LH - $10.81 (https://store.delorean.com/p-7455-prk-brake-brkt-lh.aspx)

Again, I'm not including the bearing (or any hardware).

Total: $841.43

Half would be $420.72

Steve's price is 22% of DMCH's price for the same.

My guy was firm at $300/shipped for his assembly (<46% of DMCH pricing), but is willing to drop down to $275 (<42% of DMCH pricing) if it helps at all. Note that my guy's assembly doesn't include the Hub Assembly, Compression Sleeve, Stub Axle Nut, or LH Park Brake Bracket.

Sorry, but I can't compete with Steve's give-it-away pricing.

Congrats on landing a GREAT deal though
